About Grindflow
We are not a faceless organization.
We are a collaborative practice working to strengthen small businesses’ effectiveness and efficiency. We deliver technology, research, design, growth, and process improvements tailored to each business and its people — while safeguarding client information, building long-term strategic partnerships, and holding our solutions to a high standard of precision.
Our value statement is five words long: act benevolently and create lasting effects.
What’s in a name?
grind — This word has many meanings to us. It’s the daily grind of the work itself; the friction and resistance where objects meet — like technology and business; and the diligence of grinding away at the things that need to get done.
flow — This word stands in contrast: the state of things running smoothly and freely. It’s a state of mind — being “in my flow” — or, as the psychologist Mihály Csíkszentmihályi described it, the state where you’re at your best and most creative; time and surroundings vanish; your best results materialize.
Grindflow is where these two opposing forces come together. We believe in the power of creativity and innovation to make processes and systems run smoothly — Grindflow is the introduction of new technologies into working business environments, and Grindflow Management is the team that helps businesses take those steps deliberately.
Meet Dave Hussey
Dave Hussey specializes in user-experience consulting and strategic advising with a focus on human-system interaction and cognitive psychology, aligning projects with strategic business objectives. Holding a master’s degree in human factors and applied cognition — and currently pursuing doctoral study in human-factors psychology — Dave brings expertise in usability, accessibility, and user-centered design processes, complemented by an innovation-focused MBA. With more than fifteen years as a strategic business consultant, he is often recruited for growth strategy and process optimization by organizations leveraging design-thinking and iterative design to support their marketing or operational-efficiency initiatives.
As a strategic advisor and program facilitator, Dave is involved in all phases of project development — from research, planning, and development facilitation to ongoing system optimization. His consulting approach is rooted in research, data, and technology, optimizing user touchpoints across the entire lifecycle: input collection, information hierarchy, system architecture, code delivery, search indexing, and advertising. He integrates at any stage of a project, emphasizing a content-driven strategy backed by quantitative and qualitative user research.
As a veteran system administrator and occasional fractional CTO/CIO, Dave delivers solutions that consider multiple user types — highly functional, scalable, and security-conscious — while the engineering practice he leads takes on data analysis, visualization, and the development of machine-learning and generative-AI solutions.
Before Grindflow, Dave served five years in the US Navy as an Intelligence Analyst and non-commissioned officer.
